One Story is an annual National Reading Movement initiative to make Singapore short stories – originally written in Tamil, Malay, Chinese, or English – available in the other languages. The project aims to bring these stories to more readers beyond the language communities they were originally written for.
This year, the book in focus is “Razi”, a short story by Dr Sa’eda Buang originally written in Malay, about a mother's love for her child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Between 22 Nov 2021 to 30 Aug 2022, One Story 2021 presents 20+ specially curated ASD dialogues, book discussions and workshops featuring autism advocates, authors and trained professionals, conducted over Zoom and Facebook. Feature speakers include Choo Kah Ying, Eva Nava Wong, Dr Dawn-Joy Leong, Dr Lim Hong Huay, Dr Sa’eda Buang, Dr Sim Zi Lin and more.
One Story is a part of National Reading Movement, organised by National Library Board.
